How did you break into modelling?

I was originally scouted online from being in the back of my college friends selfie on Twitter. A fashion student asked me to work with her for her final project which I did and she posted the work on her social media which got a lot of attention and I was forwarded to my now agent Patrick Marshall. He invited me to London and I test shot with two photographers that day and after a quick meeting he offered me a contract. It took off from there and I did my first jobs within the same week which were a campaign for disturbing London and a music video.

What has been your greatest achievement so far?

Every job and project I see as an achievement and I appreciate every opportunity as it comes but I feel one of my favourite experiences was being signed and establishing myself in New York.

Where’s your favourite place in the world?

My favourite place is Brooklyn as when I lived there although it was thousands of miles from where I’m from I felt very much at home and I love the culture and energy of New York but I love how generally people of Brooklyn are so social and down to earth and whether you want to or not a conversation is sparked up every time you go out, be it a bar, waiting for the subway train or in a barber shop.

What is your greatest strength, as a model?

I think that one of my strengths as a model is I’m quite outgoing and talkative. Being northern we tend to talk or spark up conversations with everyone which I tend to find the opposite when I travel to London. So a lot of the time I stay in touch or become good friends with other models or the creatives I work with, so I see them as family now.

What track are you listening to on repeat?

At the minute I keep listening to the album Saturn by Nao

What’s the best thing about being a model?

There is a lot that I’m grateful via this lifestyle but the biggest pro to modelling is definitely travelling. I have been all around the world to places I never would have imagined.

Favourite fragrance?

This is hard because since I was young I always try to switch it up because I get bored of the same so I love Boss Orange, CK One and at the minute I’m using Dior Sauvage but my favourite is Versace Dylan Blue.

Who’s the person you admire the most?

Outside modelling I studied animal science and worked within the industry and I really admire the work of Sir David Attenborough

What are your favourite things to do in London?

I’m very much a nerd at heart so if I have time to kill before my train or flight or a rare day off I visit museums, galleries and exhibitions, specially animal related.

What’s your best feature?

Best feature maybe my height. I love being tall.

Since you’ve been modelling what’s been one of the highlights so far?

Highlight was probably attending the fashion awards with River Island at the Royal Albert Hall. Being invited to such a big event within the industry by a very British household name was really nice and I had a great time.

Who’s your favourite male or female model?

My favourite models are probably Anok Yai who’s a good friend of mine and knowing how hard she works and how passionate about everything she does. I think all her work is beautiful. Winnie Harlow and Shaun Ross, again their work and everything they’ve endured, represent and campaign for is very inspiring being models of colour and showcasing the unique ways they’ve been made.
